My artwork focuses on society and the injustices and unfair expectations within it. For this exhibition I am focusing more on how harsh people can be towards others based on views society has installed within them. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this behaviour has become more and more evident particularly focusing on retail work and my own experiences working within it. I am focusing on people’s actions and words towards staff member, to do this I am using photography of locations within the store people do not often get to see, they will act as a representation of the side of retail people do not see and turn a blind eye to, the abuse staff can get for simply doing their job.
