A Gusty Perspective, 2021
Metal, plaster, and lino
“A Gusty Perspective” is about experiencing art through touching and not being about to judge what something may be without being able to see it.
Shreya Amin is an artist working predominantly with lino prints and screen prints designed from realism drawing ideas. The medium used for the realism drawings are pencil and pen drawings and recently digital format to explore Shreya’s illustrations. The lino and screen-prints images lean towards turning into a repetition of imagery, either clustered or arranged.
Shreya Amin is a student at the University of Lincoln, currently working on a project apart from my degree show. Shreya Amin is trying to begin a conversation about animal welfare through a form of printing (lino and screen printing). Shreya aims to encourage collaborations between the relationship between animal welfare and social-cultural anthropology impact within her practice.
Over the last few years, Shreya’s artwork has changed and developed into creating art for a matter. The artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. The work varies but mainly focuses on environmental animal welfare to researching about political impact. The work takes various forms intended to draw the viewers in and leave them reflecting on the work.
